Video and On-air Interviews
I am well versed in the use of video as a part of the communications mix in a campaign. Video is a crucial element because it facilitates the communication of large amounts of information in a very short amount of time, in a format most will engage in.
I have experience both in front of and behind the camera as on-air talent, producer, director, writer, videographer, and editor. |
We are Warner: United in a passion for a better world
This piece is intended to be a high level promotion for the Warner College of Natural Resources that grabs the viewers attention and acts as a hook to get them to click through to learn more about the College via the College website. It is also featured in an upcoming revision of the College website as introductory content on the College's homepage. Since posting to the College's Facebook page, it has become the most engaged with post on the page by a tremendous margin.
I had the pleasure of working very closely with Brian Buss of CSU Videography on developing the concept for this piece and organized a great many logistics to bring the project to completion.

Support Student Scholarships
|
I produced this video from start to finish in order to promote giving to the Warner College Student Success Scholarship for Colorado State University's annual "Love your State" day of giving.
I developed the concept, identified and coordinated with the interview participants, shot the video, and performed all of the post processing and editing. Project Credits: Producer, Videographer & Editor - Rob Novak |
Geosciences Field Camp
I tagged along with Warner College Geosciences students during their summer field camp near Silverton, CO, to gather media to create this promotion for the course. In addition to hauling photography and videography gear throughout rugged terrain (oftentimes off trail), I developed the concept, identified and coordinated with the interview participants, shot the video, and performed all of the post processing and editing.

"Our Open Space Story"
This hand drawn animation video gives an overview of the "Help Preserve Open Spaces" sales and use tax, a primary funding source for Larimer County Natural Resources. This video is a part of an overall education campaign about the sales tax produced in 2014 to educate the public about the funding source in advance of a ballot measure that same year. Its goal was to raise awareness about sales tax funding for the Open Lands Program.

Larimer County Budget Services Videos
Larimer County produced a series of videos to explain to residents how their property taxes funded the services the county provides. I was the 'host' of these videos and helped with some of the writing on the project. The example on the right are all of the videos together, but you can view them individually as well.
