I am well versed in web editing, social media management and digital marketing utilizing a variety of web based tools and applications. I am an expert in managing Facbook pages and Twitter feeds, and am proficient in the use of Tweetdeck, Hootsuite, and Woobox to manage multiple feeds and run social media promotions. I also started a monthly HTML newsletter at Larimer County Natural Resources, "NR News."
I've given trainings on how Natural Resource agencies and parks programs can get started with social media and establish good systems and policies to get up and running using this vital communication tool.

Warner College Social Media
I manage social media accounts for the Warner College of Natural Resources at Colorado State University. We engage with potential students and their parents, our current students and faculty, and our alumni and friends on a variety of platforms. To date, these include Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Google+, LinkedIn, and Pinterest. We currently have a total audience of nearly 10,000 followers.
Of note, our following on Instagram has grown tremendously in the past year, with an increase of 150% in the audience size, and a dramatic increase in the average number of likes per post, a primary measure of engagement.

Larimer County Virtual Courthouse - Natural Resources Pages
As Community Relations Specialist, I managed the content for the Natural Resources webpages within the Larimer County Virtual Courthouse.
We used the webpage as a primary means of communication with visitors and the public, and social media and other digital publications to drive traffic back to the website. I fielded complaints, questions and visitor comments submitted through the webpage. I routinely used webpages within the site as a part of public engagement plans to promote projects, events, and departmental initiatives. |
Larimer County Natural Resources Social Media
I managed social media for Larimer County Natural Resources utilizing the Department's Facebook and Twitter feeds to communicate with visitors. I helped establish Larimer County's Social Media policy, created media management and content development systems, implemented systems for field staff to make updates from trails and trailheads, and strategically expanded the use of social promotions and advertising. These tactics resulted in dramatic increases in public engagement and use by the public.
NR News - Larimer County Natural Resources E-Newsletter
I launched Larimer County Natural Resources monthly newsletter, NR News in 2014.
The newsletter brings people up to speed on the latest news from the Department and helps promote events and volunteer opportunities. NR News enjoys open and click through rates well above the average for government generated HTML newsletters. The newsletter is developed and distributed through MailChimp, which has become a great asset in list management for other public engagement strategies as well.

Help Preserve Open Spaces Sales Tax Campaign
As a volunteer, I developed the webpage and social media strategy for "Help Preserve Open Spaces," the campaign to extend the Help Preserve Open Spaces sales tax in Larimer County. The campaign passed with 82% of the vote.
